Inspirational Card Deck Swap 2013

Welcome to my first attempt at blogging!  I decided to start this as I am about to embark on a wonderful creative journey with the amazing and inspirational Jessica Brogan.  Jessica has created the " Inspiration Deck Swap" which involved women (and maybe men, who knows?!) from all over the world who follow her blog or Facebook page.  We are all using a bog standard deck of cards to create 52 original pieces of art that we will send to Jessica.  She will then sort them into another 52 piles and post them out to the participants. Soooo, we all then get 52 wonderful surprises in the post which will have inspirational quotes on (for this Deck Swap, we are using inspirational lyrics)

I am BEYOND excited.  Music and Art?  What a perfect combo. An opportunity to get messy and listen to some of my favourite uplifting music and then share the outcome, Bring it on!

As I love the Sea and anything involved with Camping and the beach, I have decided that my inspirational lyrics will have a bit of a nautical/outdoors theme.  Currently listening to Morcheeba - The Sea  Have a listen, you can see why I am fired up by this song, it's lush and makes me yearn to be on a beach.

So, I have my deck of cards (Bargain from Poundland), my freezer paper (never heard of this before but it helps keep all the cards stuck down!) and an array of paints and paper and a head bursting with idea and lyrics.  I am going to start and watch the tutorials and then get messy...
